Wheeling on Saturday/ Need 33x12.5 BFG A/T

Had a blast wheelin' with the BC4x4 crew today. The thread over there is called WWU #8.
Like all good wheeling trips sometimes **it happens. This time I managed to squeeze up against a pointy rock, bye bye sidewall. No slight against BFG, I don't think any tire would have had a chance. I have no pics, but I'm sure some will be posted on BC4x4.

Heard all about it from John on there drive home... Sounds like there was a little carnage up there. VE7RVA is a great repeater...

I heard you today around 6:00pm. I replied, but to no avail. John was a blast, I'd wheel with him any day of the week. Nice built truck, easy going and was kind enough to run my winch. Were you hitting me off the repeater? How can I tell if your on a repeater? I know if I reply to you using simplex you wouldn't hear it. I know I need to offset the freq. to hit the repeater, but didn't realize you were on a repeater.

You would have been getting me off the repeater. If you where on simplex I would only be able to hear you if you where with in range. VE7RVA is at 146.600 -600 offset with a tone of 110.9

so you listen on 146.610 and send on 146.010 with a tone of 110.9 or the repeater will not retransmit your call. I use the reverse function to listen to the repeater input to see if I am in simplex range.

Hope you find a tire for tomorrow. I have to go back to work in about an hour but will be monitoring VE7RVA to see if anyone checks in.
