Hey everyone, I'm new to the import scene, and I got myself a Toyota surf. I'm really enjoying it, but I would like to have people that know a little more about it and want to hit the trails the odd time!

Hope i hear back from some of you.

I have a reliable vehicle and a full size spar and I'm working on a bunch of gear as well but it costs money and takes time.

Welcome to Ih8mud and VI Cruisers!! Come out to one of our meetings and introduce yourself and your truck!

We are primarily a landcruiser group (hence "Vancouver Island Cruisers"). I think there is a much larger and more general VI toyota 4x4 club that operates via facebook (ask @franken60 ; he is part of that group too I believe). You might find more support for your Surf (lots of other guys with the same vehicle) and more 4x4 activity there. Not to push you away at all, but I do know those guys get out a lot more than we do....and know a lot more about 4runners/Surfs.

Welcome! as @GTSSportCoupe mentioned, VI Toyota 4x4 on facebook is a much better suit. the group is run by myself and a few other guys. we have just over 1000 members and there are groups that get out every weekend all around the island.
Unfortunately the facebook way is not as neat and tidy as IH8MUD, but we make do. There are many members that own Surfs and are more likely to be able to answer questions on tech and whatnot.
