I took a run out to Joshua Tree today to do some wheelin :steer:. Weather was really nice out there, but it started getting windy in the afternoon.

We did some trails off of Sunfair Dry Lake. There are some really great trails out there, and cool camping spots. Check out a few of the pics..

Looks like fun! What's your suspension/tire setup?

Sent from my DROID BIONIC using IH8MUD

BTW. Are you in Capo, Capo Beach? I just moved to San Juan and i keep thinking I see your truck driving down Camino Cap or near Camino de Estrellas? And nice trip to Joshua.

I am running OME 851/860 which is approx 2" with 33x12.5 on 16" wheels. I like the setup a lot, but may go with an 1" spacer up front to better level it out.

lol - must be my evil twin brother! I am in north OC near Seal Beach. :D

@the80rocks - we are going to JoshuaTree next week during the kids spring vacation. Do you recommend any particular sites there that the family will enjoy? I heard Joshua tree is a huge national park and I don't want to be driving around all day figuring out what to see. Thanks Rick

PM sent - Yea, tons of good spots out there to camp and wheel. I particularly like Indian Cove. Give me a call.

Heading to Joshua Tree in a couple of weeks.. are there any particular trails that are good? I figure its all pretty mild, but scenic wise or neat places to check out.. going to have 5 families and bunch of kids.. I've been there plenty of times with the Boy Scouts mostly hiking trails or rock climbing for merit badges...

Bruno! What's up brotha! We'll be out there Apr 19-21.

The pictures I posted above are from some of the trails on Copper Mountian. That entire area is a OHV area. It has a good variety of trails and difficulties... but most of them are pretty mild. You can reach the OHV area off Hwy 62, and Sunfair Rd. There is a Campground & RV park at the end of Sunfair, Joshua Tree Lake (http://www.jtlake.com/) it a good place to camp. You can ride quads and dirt bikes out from there. Also, there is a big dry lake there where most people pull there RV's out onto and dry camp. Overall, worth checking out IMO.

@scottydog- we were in Joshua Tree couple days ago. It was really nice. The trail I did was Geology Rd which turns into Berdoo Canyon Rd. This trail will dump you onto Dillion Rd which is off the 10 fwy. Or you could start at Dillion Rd and enter Joshua Tree by using Berdoo Canyon Rd. Pretty rocky but the scenery was great. We saw a huge desert tortoise crossing the road trail. The kids loved it.
