We're usin' a dock owned by a bridge buildin' outfit to land our crewboat so we can change crews on our Dredge up here.

They got this here pile of riprap to put at the footin's of the bridge.

Sorry for the lack of size perspective but I was in a hurry to leave. Basic'ly them rocks is 2 to 3 foot big and the pile's 'bout 12 feet tall and 25 feet across.

Now .... just gotta find me a Cruiser 'round here ...

I wish I coulda got more pics of the Cruiser ... ya'll wouldn't believe the rust.

Didn't see a single part that was salvageable. :frown:

It's sittin' directly under a highway bridge so road salt rains down on 'er when they plow ... reckon it ain't gonna get no better any time soon.

Tough to tell in the pics but as the mid-section's rustin' away, the top's settlin' down onto the tub.

Talked to an Ol' Fella Wednesday that works there but didn't have my camara that day. He said the owner bought 'er brand new off the lot in "seventy-somethin". Used it to chase down parts and pull out the heatin' oil trucks when they got stuck for many, many years. When she got too rusted too drive on the road no more they hooked a plow to 'er and used 'er in the yard ... till the frame broke in two from rust. Been parked for 'bout two years in that spot ever since. Said they actually had the motor cranked 'bout three months ago but said it sounded a lil' rough.

Sure sounds like she fought a good fight before she give up the ghost.
