Me and some of my friends are looking for spacers for the rear wheels on our 76's and 71's. My understanding is that the offset between the front and rear axel is such that the rear axel is 100mm narrower than the front (makes it a pain in the ass to follow tracks in soft sand... And I am sick of people telling me I need an alignment), so does that mean to get the spacing correct each side would need to have a 50mm spacer?

If so, should I be looking at the hub centric spacers?

50mm is ~1.96inches, so would these be the right spacers : http://www.justdifferentials.com/JTO5X5-2-0HC-p/jto5x5-2.0hc.htm

Or one of these others? http://www.justdifferentials.com/Wh...m?searching=Y&sort=13&cat=1978&show=10&page=3

Thanks in advance for any help!

Tim

Hi all,

Glad to hear (and see) that your 76 Series was largely undamaged from that flop on the dunes! :)

I don't know much about the newer Land Cruisers (post 1997) but I believe that the 76, 78, and 70 Series shares the same wheel bolt pattern as the 100 Series. So wheel spacers that will fit the 100 Series should work on your 76 Series.

Regards,

Alan

Thanks Josie,

I've sent an email to the Just Differentials guys so hopefully they will know the answer. My main concern is if I should be choosing hubcentric or lugcentric spacers. I would think that hubcentric is what we need since the weight of the LC seems to be carried by the bit of hub rather than the lugs, but I'm not 100% sure about that.

Mate the wheel bolt pattern u want is 150x5 but make sure it's not the pre 2007 spacers they have a lip on them and u can't get them on .where are u located sal

Thanks will give him a call to discuss. I'm in Dhahran but will be in Dubai next month so that could work perfectly.
