I have 16 LC which runs on 20" 13-15 LX570 wheels with 45mm offset. I have just moved to Defender tires 275/60R20. The look is definitely improved, but I still feel slightly wider stance would make things even better.

I am not planning to lift, don't want to add a bolt on spacer and don't want to replace original studs. I know for proper wheel engagement need at least 8 rotation of the lug nuts.

What is the thickest spacer that I can add that still utilizes original studs?

THanks!

Easy, just measure stud length then wheel thickness at hole and see if that gives you the engagement you want.

FYI, those LX wheels are 60mm offset. As are every other OEM LC/LX/Tundra/Sequoia wheel. Only OEM like wheel with a different offset are rock warriors at 50mm offset. Unless you're talking about some other rare OEM wheel?

3-5mm spacers are all you're going to get in terms of a shim spacer. You're call if that's worth the effort.

If you really want to space the wheels out for more track, without getting too aggressive, you're looking at a .75" (~18mm) or an effective offset of 42mm. 1.5" wider track.

Thanks for feedback. May have to go .75" at least but will require more work since studs will be too long. Will need to research more which way to go.

Regarding wheels... The 13-15 LX570 20" wheels have definitely 45mm offset and many webs sites confirm that based on what i have found. The LC wheels that came with my 16LC are 56mm. So definitely there are different than the traditional 60mm.

The offset is stamped on the back of the wheel. Just pull one and be sure.

The 16+ LC wheels is slightly different at 56mm offset.

To the OP - I think your best bet is the 0.75" spacers that Bora sells. I think I might go that route myself to remedy the slight rubbing I have at full crank and to give it a little better aesthetic presence.

I've seen some ebay sellers stating the offset for '13-'15 LX wheels are 45 offset but they are really 60. The ebay listing I bought mine from stated they were 45, but they were not. Don't believe everything you see on the internets.

Yes, forgot about these. I believe that to be true for the 16+ 21" wheels.

Offset is correlated to the intended tire size to be run. For the 21" wheels, they get a 275/50r21, which 31.8", or about 1/2" taller than the LC/old 20" LX tire fitments.

For the OP, running a 275/60R20 33" tire, ideal offset would be ~45mm. So in this case, a .75" spacer, putting it at ~42mm would make things perfect from a suspension geometry (kingpin/steering axis/scrub radius) POV.

It's true for the 16+ LC 18" wheels as well. I can confirm they clear tires better than the 13-15 LC 18" wheels I had in the past, but I'd still like a 0.75" spacer even if it's mainly for looks.

Beside ebay making both statements don't see any other web site stating 60mm. Here it is one of the reference web site which confirms 45mm
Lexus LX570 (2013-2015) 20x8.5 Aluminum Alloy Hyper Silver 5 Double Spoke [74280]

At the end who cares. Stance still sucks and need to add some spacers to improve it.

Like @grinchy said, the offset is stamped on the inside. I'm running .75" spacers. They work pretty well so far but you may want a wider stance. Be advised if you go with .75", you will either have to cut your lugs or grind out the little pockets on the back side of the wheel. Not sure about 1" spacers.

The studs protrude a few mm on 1 inch spacers. Most rims have a pocket/void in the location the hub stud goes into, so usually it isn’t an issue. Look at the back of the rims and see what is there or not for space for studs to use.

Which spacers are the best. Was looking at spidertrax or slee but don't see them coming in 1" size. Any other solid/trusted brands to consider?

I have 1"/75mm spacers 570. They are no-name from eBay, but are hub-centric, aluminum, pressed in studs, etc. I check the torque on them every oil change and haven't had any problems in 11k miles.

Bora and Spidertrax are nice too.

Bora looks like it is.... Anyone who has .75 and 1" spacers, can you please post some pictures so can see both stances?

Thanks again!

Seriously doubt you will be able to see much difference, only 1/4' per side and tire/tread patterns can mask alot.

It's subtle. 1" will put the wheel faces just about flush with the fender. .75" is just inset.

In the interest of optimal scrub radius, I'd say .75" spacers.

Thanks! I am thinking about .75" as don't want fenders to get an exposure to debris from tires and cause potential corrosion. Planning to take off one of the wheels to check length of studs but with .75 I assume it will be necessary to change them or cut them down.

It depends how much pocket there is on your target wheel. 12mm or so should be enough for the 0.75 spacers. 4mm for the 1.00 inch. Just pull you’re wheel and look what is available.
