Wheel offset questions

I know this should be in the 80 tech section but I would like to keep it local.

So awhile back I bought some Battle Born wheels in 17X9 with a 4.5BS, they no longer carry that backspacing.

If I was to buy the 3.5 backspacing and run a 1" spacer on the 17X9 4.5BS would that give me the same track as the 3.5" BS?

I have 17x9 raceline wheels on my 80 with -12mm offset (4.5bs) and they add about an inch per side to the track width vs stock 80 wheels. Essentially like running a 1" spacer on stock wheels, which is what I was going for. with 4.5" backspace 17x9's and 1" spacers or 3.5 backspace you would be around 4" wider than stock wheels at the outside edge of the wheels.

That is correct, but then you would have to rotate spacers when you rotate tires, keeping the spacers with the 4.5 backspace wheels.

Just 2, because I thought they were going to continue to carry the same wheel in those specs. But I was mistaken and shortly after I bought them they were discontinued. The only spacer I can find is Spidertrax 1.25"
