Gday guys,

now i know there are a few threads out there about this however i thought i would ask it in a more 70 series specific way.

Im looking at some new wheels and tyres for my Bundera. The tyres i would like to run are 33 x 12.5 x 15. Now looking at the rims. Will be an 8 inch rim, however would like to get a rim that suits perfectly as i wont be using a spacer.

So far im looking at wheels with -20mm, -33mm and -42mm offset. For all the guys that run 12.5 inch wide tyres, what offset/backspacing have you needed for little to no rubbing? I know this also depends on suspension flex however looking to those that have done it all before.

Thanks in advance.

(oh for those that read my other thread about towing, im keeping the Bundy and will be towing with the wifes V8 wagon haha)

I run rims with 3 5/8" BS and are a 8" wide rim. Tires are 255/85/16 with no issue. If I went to 12" wide tires I would need a spacer for the front just so the tires don't rub on the springs. I would be looking at a 2.5" - 3" backspacing rim if you don't want spacers.

HTH

Thanks for the info guys, ill be putting some flares on so im not worried if the tyres are out from the guards.

what is 3 inch backspacing meansured in mm offset?

looks like i might be safe with around negative 20 or 30 mm offset
