Non VVTI engines can be Supercharged.

I kinda like having Navigation, and touchscreen for AC and Radio controls. A few times while exploring some trails and referencing where we were on paper maps, the navigation screen helped to make solid route finding decisions. If one wanted to install an Audiophile level system it can be done and still utilize the stock screen. The tape player is DIN sized so you could add a high end stereo if you wanted to bypass the stock system.

Great Info folks - I really appreciate it.

I'm officially on the hunt for a GX:
No Nav
KDSS
VVTi

I learned a TON with the info everyone provided, so again thank you. Expect some posts looking for opinions on specific vehicles in the near future.

03 or 05 or any of them, I watch the different places where people where selling them and when one that came up that looked like a good deal and was very clean and in a color I wanted, I jumped on it, to me it was that simple. For me color and no nav where the main choices I made.

VVTI or no VVTI is a choice we make or don't make, the same with using reg or prem fuel, or what color we want to get or how we want to equip or not equip our GX. Also a 2005 GX470 with VVTI does not require Premium fuel, it just recommends it for better performance. It in 2006 that Lexus recommends it and then in 2007 the require it, why is ????? To me.

All of these are very similar in equipment and complexity to work on. I did the by pass for the secondary air pump, so for me it is not longer a factor.

Again the ideal GX to build is a choice for each of us to make on what we want, VVTI of not, color, or nav or not, aftermarket stuff, it's not a stamped out GX

Why is no Nav such a big issue? Why do you want no Nav? I keep seeing this everywhere. People wanting no nav

I didn't want nav, because I wanted to change out the head unit. My GX had no NAV and now I have a Kenwood DNX893s with Garmin nav, bluetooth, Sirius and more.

I've been looking at these^^

Dont want to be the first to try it out at the price...
