Whats this noise?

Hi fellow Cruisers, I have a weird noise which sounds deep opposed to high pitched not quite a whine, hard to explain but very noticable,, it happens when switching on the climate control at highway speed,, the car has a 1HDFT with EGR, any ideas

Is it the ac compressor starting to turn?

Is it only when you use the climate control or does it do it anytime the ac is turned on?

Its happens, when hitting auto on the climate controll, when I switch off it goes away, cant remember if I tried leaving CC on and turning AC off I'l give this a try just to make sure
