This is not a for sale ad.
I know its a lame question. I have a friend who wants to buy what's left of Old Smokey. It has no powertrain, Lots of missing or at least dissasembled interior parts. Old, canadain spec BJ70 axles with 4:88s (one welded, one LSD) Really good ambulance doors, brand new mine truck doors and a nearly perfect FRP top. OME/Ironman suspension. No wiper mechanism that I can find. No front bumper or winch. Alberta registered. I would like to figure out a fair price for both of us. Any suggestions?

I was thinking that amount plus the $1000 I have in the hard top.

The front bumper is moving to my other BJ74

Why not if its rust free, the doors are worth nearly that. It would be a good project for someone with a rusty BJ70 with good mechanicals

IMO $2500 Would be a very good price. I paid $700 just for the ambulance doors and that's with no glass. An FRP top has got to be worth at least a $1000. Sooner or later someone will need one. + all of the little extras add up.

do you have a winch bumper on your old 74 part cruiser ...... ?

I had an ARB bumper on it and it survived the crash with some minor scratches. I plan on putting it on my new truck in the near future. I do have a factory bumper and PTO winch for sale. I don't want to store it so I will let it go cheap.

A good frame is $1000.00 any day of the week. Other prices are low imo too. Axles are on the high side for a used hard put away wet Cdn set. That this comes with the body and pretty much everything needed to give someone the base to revive a Cdn BJ70 is a no brainer...

$2500.00 is way bro deal.

Thanks for all the advice, guys. I appreciate it. I don't really want to sell it at all but my friend wants it badly and I could use the space and cash. The funny thing is that my old Canadian spec BJ70 will get $3000 easily and it is old and rusty but it drives. I should really sell it and put the 74 back together with the parts I have and some the joe70 has left.

I hope you really don't feel they way. Simply my experience and opinion. When I got into Cruisers my toe was dipped in. Now I figure I am up to my ankle, when compared to the experience and wisdom of some in the Cruiser crowd.
