The 40 needs an e-brake cable. Want to be sure that it would be for a 77 as I've been led to believe. Is there anything else I'll need for the install, or any pitfalls to point out?

I assume the frame cuts were needed for the 77 drivetrain w 71 frame by the PO.

    Thanks:cheers:

Well, no, it was not necessary to cut the rear xmember to fit the 2F/4 speed in there. There are some neat tricks to get around that. I run a 2F/4 speed/ Orion in my '66 and didn't cut anything. But what's done is done. Any PB cable that will fit a 4 speed like '74> should work.

there are differences in cables... some enter the cab area through the floor and some through the firewall.....if yours is a '71 it will fall in the group configuration of 7/70-1/75 firewall entrance......
