Also, just for others who may stumble upon this thread, heres what it looked like taking off the damaged selectro. Grease looks DIRTY.
In looks/feels sturdy in build, and i really do like how the turning mechanism works, using the whole hand. The housing is what got broken on this hub, looks like either heavy 4wheeling damage, or someone tried to pry it loose(?), eventually the screws that keep it guided on the track and clamped down made their way to the gear teeth, which also filed down one of the inner gears a bit.
Seems this could actually still be usable (not optimal), but its just going in the parts bin...
