got some questions about this thing.
i have a 93 fj80 axle (pre-abs) in my buggy and im wanting to upgrade steering. currently i have a 2x10" tractor ram that is sloppy as they come.
im upgrading to psc steering and before i go and order a bunch of parts i want to make sure i get the correct ram lenght. i've heard people run the 8" ram and i've heard people run a shimmed 10".
i plan on eventually throwing in longfields so i should be able to steer until my tires get into my leaf springs.
this currently on the stock low steer behind the axle steering arms.

eventually i'd like to throw the tie rod up front using another draglink arm since they are up higher. and keep the ram in the back so i can have more uptravel and not have my tie rod get into my diff.
i'd like to mount one end of the ram directly to the steering arm.

Great, tell us you got questions, but then never ask any in the entire post... where's the question marks?

I'm interested in what you're doing, going to eventually need me some hydro, at least hydro assist, so I'm gonna start feeding the noggin.
Post pics of what you're doing fer sure.

I will assume a few questions and if I haven't posed an answer by the end then as per Landtank add a few question marks to guide the post.

The Ram length you'll want is a 10" stroke for the rear and an 8" stroke for the front (if using Hi-Steer setup) you want a small bore than 2" b/c the smaller the ram size the more responsive it will be to the steering pump. You can use a larger ram diameter if you are using ALL PSC components i.e. pump, box, etc. but if you need it to drive on the streets at times you'll want to keep that diam. smaller.

The rest of the install should be a given since you're considering the mod. you probably don't want to weld the ram mounts on both sides. Most guys weld on the axle side and use a tube clamp for the rod side. Also you want the ram to be as linear and parallel to the rod as possible.

Cheers, and best of luck, if you are using an 80 steering box and pump there are many links on tapping and modifying the box and pump to work well with the hydro assit.

its going in this so it see no street
