Avy shovel in the winter. Cold steel shovel year round. Full size shovel when wheeling.

Mud=skinny trenching shovel .Rocky stuff=Burk bar . You can make one out of an old leaf spring and sq. Stock if your handy. Remember when it comes to any shovel that you want the tabs that your foot goes against to be bent to the dirt shovel side so it doesn't catch the ground .

Local Army Surplus store, picked up a 1945 Woods Trenching shovel make for the Army, oak handle, thick steel blade. Mounted it on the pass. rear pillar. $20

I used a Home Depot shovel twice and the last time I left it where I was stuck. I was stuck in snow once and really really wish I'd had a snow shovel at the time. I have nothing now. I need a one handed shovel. I can't shovel utilizing my left :*(

I have the Max Axe as well. It is a nice tool. Not as nice as having one of each tool, but much more compact.

:flipoff2:

That magic dial just seems to dig four perfect holes so my diff came take a break and lay on the ground.

Apparently you can build a house and prepare the meals with that one.;)

Ironically the problem with buying the WQJ shovel is finding the real deal and not the, er, cheap chinese knockoff.

Yeah, but the Chinese video is still priceless nevertheless. I like the scene where they are using it as a shield.

BTW, my shovel is similar to one that Stevesnj showed, though I think mine says U.S. Navy on it.

Here it is. Note the "1945" on it.

I have my old Army issue E-tool for a one hander. Under my cargo platform is a flatpointed D handle narrow shovel (because it fit). These are in there all the time. In the winter I toss in a scoop shovel in the back to move some snow.

Nice, mine is the exact same, yours is just cleaner! Very well built isn't it?

Yep, nicely built tool. And I appreciate well-built stuff.
