I drove this home from Chicago, this weekend. Base model '93. 117,000 miles. 22RE, automatic transmission ( :bang: ) rust on the tailgate only. Frame & suspension are a little rough. Big dent on the passenger door.

Note the garage photo, with a disassembled Celica, and an FJ40 blocked-in by a spare AC Condenser :hillbilly: I haven't been home in about 3 weeks. I have a few too many projects, but the price was right.

What should I do with this? Trail rig? Home Depot truck? Daily Driver (it averaged 20 mpg back from Chicago)? Give to my Dad?

I don't have a lot of time to invest in this thing. The exhaust downpipe is cracked in two, so I'm welding that up tonight. I also need to fix the brakes.

I read your thread about going to get it in Chicago. I am glad that you made it home safely! As for what to do now, you can always make it into a trail rig later...so my vote is give it to your dad to use since he wants one...but leave the condition on it that at some point later you want it back to make into a trail rig. Then you can "finish" your other projects and not worry about it sitting collecting dust and wasps in the driveway.

:)

If you don't give it to pops I still want it. I would give it to pops though.

A booger-welded tube chassis. :hillbilly:

<- Still learning how to weld.

Dad called last night and said it would be too much effort to get to Colorado. Sounds like it's mine. :bounce:
