I have purchase a 92 Toyota Landcruiser, and do not want to give it up. So stock is a 3F-EFI motor, and I was wondering if a could put any of the following other motors with in the 92. The ones that interest me are the following:

1FZ-FE
2UZ-FE

1HZ diesel

I it anybody knows could you get back to me.

Thanks.......................Jack a Row

The 1 FZ-FE might be the easiest since it came stock in the nest year (93). You would have to change out the transmission since it was changed also. If I was in your shoes, I would seriously think about putting in a 383 Chevy small block with TPI. That is the amount of engine that would make your 'cruiser really skip along. Advance adapters makes a kit to fit the Chevy engine to the Toyota transmission. There is lots of information and ideas in the FAQs and in the regular forums her on MUD.

I have a Chevy 383 with TBI and a 700R4 in my 85 FJ60 and it works great. Lots of power, more gears and better running with the TBI, less weight and better mileage (a little better). I am SOA with 36" tires and average 14 mpg highway (not interstate) with very mild driving habits and keeping it under 60 mph.
