What kind of power steering do I have?

dammit! I have not had to look at my FSM for any of these problems that are not covered well! OK, maybe that's a good thing...

but still, I guess I ought to have the '94 FSM eventually.

(and Gabe, that strip is funny stuff.:D)

If you want the '97 FSM, that can be arranged. Some things are obviously different, but much of it is the same.

Someone pointed out to me recently that I occasionally present my opinion as if it were fact.

I thought it would be a good idea to remind folks that, yes, this is the internet.

If I got another FSM I would want a '94. The pic of the '97 PS is very close but not exactly what I have, the pressure feed tube is on the side of mine and not the top as they show in the 97' FSM. It served the purpose to get my by. I am getting ready to go out and dive into it and put her back together.

Sweet!

Well I got her back together and there are no leaks. All the old o-ring I replaced were rock hard and broke when I went to remove them. It was time to get them out.

The set up was different to me because the drive gear was driven by a gear that is driven indirectly by the crank. I am sure there is a lubricant for the gear drive but it was not clear to me what the lube was. I would think it is oil because I did not see any way for the PS fluid to get in there.

I am wondering about this because I had an oil leak in addition to the PS leak and now I have no puddles. I would clean up the puddles, leave it in the garage over night and the next day without driving I had another puddle and now it is gone. I need to wait and see if my oil continues to disappear. :steer:
