The black rectangle. The cap flips open. Has a nut/junction/eyelet style set up under the cap.

I have an '85 pick up, 22re. That connector has been flopping in the wind since I've owned the truck. It has an 8 or so gauge white wire coming into it from the passenger side, havent continuity tested it to see exactly where its coming from on the pass side...but I'd like to know what is supposed to be connected to it.

Thanks!

It goes to the engine bay fuse box 12v in. It is supposed to be wired into the alternator.

The PO put the battery in the back, ran a 4ga from the alt to a junction block on the pass side, then to the battery. Then put an 8ga from the junction block to the fuse box...and left the factory wire flopping in the wind. Check that one off the list for figuring out the shady wiring in this truck, lol.
