What is a good way to paint aluminum?

I have one of those aluminum ARB awnings , and I'd like to paint it black similar to the new models.

What is a good way to paint it?

Is there a good etching primer available for metal aluminum?

you can Powder Coat or Anodize

you might be better off ordering a wrap for it, replacable and more options, even put a cool design or photo's on it.
