how did you run the filler tube?

The filler is on the pass. side & it also has a built in fuel pump in the tank. I'm sure you could creatively come up w/ another filler tube to exit near the original location on a 40 or reroute it to the rear using misc. hoses. It uses the typical 2" O.D. rubber hose. I made a seperate enclosed housing for the inlet.

any driveline shop can shorten that driveshaft for you. but why do the work twice? just take apart your spring pack and re-drill it. the longer wheelbase will definetly help.

as for the rear tank fuel filler; i always try to find a filler from a later model 40 and graft it into the body. looks factory and works well.

what part of the leafs do you have to redrill?just the one you leave with the military wrap or all of them? the fuel cell recessed in the back would not be good...lol i have 3 kids, plus i have no plasma or welder, the s-10 tank loks good, but that project is ganna have to waite.

Yep, the mid 90's Blazer S-10 fits perfect - it even hugs the 45 deg. angle braces in the LC frame. I'd build a skid for it though as it's a 20 gal. tank & hangs kinda low. Nuthin a body lift couldn't fix though:

How did you run the filler tube on your FJ. We are looking to move it from under the seat to the rear. Did you keep the filler cap in the same location as factory? Any help is much appreciated. Looking at rebuilding one as a Grandfather, son and grandson project.
