What do you call those...

enormous, cast steel (iron?) fabricating tables that have to weigh a bazillion pounds. The one I want is like 10 feet by 8 feet, has square holes evenly spaced so that you can clamp/chain stuff down, then adjust the frame rails up with jackscrews. etc. I don't know what they're called, who the main manufacturer(s) are, where to find one, how much they cost (I imagine a lot).

They are called Platen tables. They pop up on Craigslist if you keep your eye out. Anything under 2 grand is a good deal depending on the size. The tables are a great fab tool.
