Just to finish my part of this thread my truck is now running great. I think it was just a stuck float like Trollhole mentioned. (this is the 1st rig I’ve ever had a carb in) After I popped the top off the carb and checked everything out it ran ok but still had a puff of black smoke when you first hit the gas and the idle wasn’t great. My plugs were covered in soot so I replaced them along with plugs, wires, cap, rotor, pcv valve and now it’s back to normal! I’ve driven it everyday for 2 weeks with no issues. Enjoying spring time cruiser. Thanks for the help.
