Almost finished putting the hard top back on for the winter. Cleaned up the rain gutter and gave it two coats of POR15. Then resurfaced and the fiberglass and painted it back to the original Cygnus white. Then I put the new headliner in and got all the rivets back on and know i'm setting it and putting all the weather stripping in. Non of this info has anything to do with my question I just don't have anyone to tell who will appreciat the time and effort!

I figured out where most of the pads from SOR go but the diagram is supper veg and this pice looks like it's very specific where I put it.

Its a top corner pad, where the top attaches to the windshield frame. It doesn't look like the factory pad which appears to be a molded shape. I think it seals the gap between the door bow and windshield bow. Have yet to mount my hard top and have never own the combo assembled.

Did you paint your top before sealing it to the rain gutter?

X2, as explained here.

Also, last opportunity to put these on before the top is secured.

Are you sure you want to use that roof seal? Looking at the corner I can tell it's the cheapo type that will leak in due time.

Thanks Racer65 that's what i was looking for. About the weatherstrip i'm sure i CAN'T afford the nice one. I know it's not the best but it's what I could do and it's ten times better the when i started. I bought the truck with about 6 bolts holding the hardtop together and no weatherstripping at all.

Ya i used filler because the fiberglass was damaged then i premiered it then painted it then painted the rain gutter. Siliconed and riveted the rain gutter to the painted fiber glass. Totally screwed up my new headliner installing it and started putting everything back together.

In theory it should work. I'm doing the same right now. Going to use seam sealer to seal the gutter to the cap and rivet. Then self leveling seam sealer on the topside of the cap to gutter seam. Then paint. This part is a lot of work. Bummer about your headliner.
