I miss the fast cars and slow women!

So, did you take the shims out yet? Fix it?

Hi, Nice looking. Been thinking about this same product for mine. Your shackle angles appear to be nearly straight up and down at both ends of the truck. Usually this leads to a roughth ride and the potential for inversion. Have the angles lattened out some since the pics were taken? Thanks! LC

no word from werd. is the lift project complete? new years run is just around the corner.

Yes and No.

I took the shims out and it's a little better. However, the driveshaft is out of balance, since the lift may it slightly longer. I am taking it to have it balanced this week. I will keep you posted.

Thanks!

Thanks!

When the lift was complete the shackles were nearly (but not) straight up and down. Besides driving on the pavement, I have wheeled it once and the angles have gotten better. I foresee the more these springs break in, the better the angles will get, and the softer the ride.

Lift project complete. I likes it a lot! I can't wait to wheel it on the New Year's ride and flex it out some more.

yeap and he has wheeled it.

i thought?!?!?!?!?

Your thinking is correct Bomar! Like Shawn says, "It's BadAss!".

I finally think I have this shim and drive line thing figured out. Thought it needed to be like a CV joint drive shaft, however since mine are double u-jointed. I need to rotate my carrier down to match that of the tcase. (Thanks Caleb!) The longer rear shackles have angled the carrier upward, so vibration in 4th gear is still present. I could put the shorter shackles back on the rear, but I like how my truck is leveled out.

Hopefully, I will get a chance to pop them back in tomorrow...going to the New Year's Run with STLCA on Thursday!

I put my hardtop back on today and it's sick how tall my truck is. I'm 6'00" and it's at least 12" taller than me. BTW it's not going back in the garage with the top on. :frown: I might decrease my shackle length one day, but I want to see how I like this setup for now.
