Ok I just pulled the front third out with the intention of welding it up to put in the rear and swapping the lockright into the front axle. I'm probably going to have someone else do the welding since my 110 wire welder isn't quite up to snuff and I don't want to leave any slag in there from the stick welder.

There's no reason to remove the carrier from the third is there?

I know I should weld the gears to the case, but should I pull it apart and remove the thrust washers first? Will weld stick to the washers (they kind of feel like copper) or is the gap not enough to worry about?

Thanks,
Eric

i just did mine the same way Woody did his Version 2.0... pull the pin and Turn to weld up the cracks where the teeth go together.. i also welded to the case.. I would pull the ring gear off this way you dont get any Weld on the gears..

Mine is still working great, but its only been in for a week or so.. time will tell

I love it but my Tires will be gone pretty quick
