I'll be honest.. You'd have to at least meet us / wine and dine us and get to know us before you sleep with our toys.
Many of us have the toys that you speak of. I know three members that have benders and welders. My notcher I believe is currently in Higginsville if I recall correctly, and i need to make a stand for my bender. Mine's manual.. The other 2 are air over hydro that I know of.
You'll have to be a bit more specific regarding die size and bend tolerances tho. Some of us have different dies than others.
I'm currently not in the position of having extra shop space for anyone else's project but mine and the occassional close friend or 2 that come by. (yes i'm being selfish) This Sat a few of us are going to all be at a wedding so I know Sat is out. Normally Colin and I are working on something over the weekends. Your welcome to come by and meet and greet, advisable to bring adult beverages to share. PM either myself or Colin for phone #'s if your interested in swinging by. BOth of us are in the burbs.. INdependence/Blue Springs area.
I hope to be working in the garage on Sunday. which is an option. ANd I can possibly convince Colin to swing by. Will have to clear it with his wife first tho..
And my normal welder does NOT leave my garage again.. I have in the past loaned it out and it's come back broken / out of gas / etc each time. Plus it's one of my must have on hand tools. Plus it's WAY too heavy to be totin around and I cannot afford to have it broken.
I have a Lincoln 110 that I need to find a gas solenoid that can be borrowed tho.. Given the proper credentials.. I'd sure hate to have to track down my welder if it didn't come back..
I think i might have a spool of flux wire somewhere.. I just need to peruse flebay for a solenoid for it.. I inadvertenly purchased the incorrect one for it when trying to convert it to gas. And I need to have my Victor regulator fixed so I can donate the regulator back to the LIncoln..
I know Colin normally tacks stuff up at his place then brings it by to burn in.
All that might sound harsh but it's reality.. it took many of us years to build up our tool supply to fit our needs. So.. Come by, meet and greet, Then we'll talk tools.
FYI.. If you come by you will be expected to at least join the TLCA, membership applications will be available in the garage and you can save on postage by filling it out there.. Checks and or CC accepted by the TLCA.
There is normally extra fridge space in the garage as well.
