Don't get me wrong; I'd never buy a heep, but stumbled across this on used vic and found it interesting. Were diesel cherokee's a factory thing in the 80's or is this a swap?

Neat; thanks for the info. Didn't know they put diesels in them back then. I did know you can get the newer Cherokee and Liberty with diesels.

I think it's a renault or puegeot diesel(someone get a frenchman to check that spelling) ...


Apparently if you sweet talk someone at a tractor place you ~might~ be able to find parts for it...


Well, serves me right for not reading the ad, renault, and it was winnebago you have to get parts thru, not a tractor place...

Heh, hard to imagine a little motor like that moving a motorhome. According to wiki they are reliable little engines though.
