Basically start off in 1st, general acceleration, about 1/4 way down acts like you have opened the 2nd set of buttlerflys on a 4barrel, only on accel from a stop.
Through the gears fine, no chug, now on the road fine, but when you accel from a stop the "full throttle" feel is abnormal.

Any ideas, throttle position sensor, mass air flow.....

Any thoughts.

Thanks!

Don't forget the basics 1st. Like fuel, fire and air.

I'm pretty sure you can hook a gauge up to the fuel rail and check it's pressure.

But I would just change the fuel filter as a troubleshoot and then go from there.

Also have a look at your plugs and wires. I bought a cheap truck one time that wouldn't run b/c the wires had so much resistance you could see the discharge off the wires at night.

My next guess is the TPS...

For some reason, I want to say it is throttle position to power related... Because of this pic...

Tps or the MAS, The MAS is famous for wearing out from lots of the same throttle areas being used, u can cut teh seal and take off the top of the MAS and try and see if the circuit board is worn

My '89 gets corrosion inside the air box that causes the flapper to stick. So every so often I open up the air chamber, and clean off the corrosion. The screws holding the cover plate are JIS standard Phillips. A regular US Phillips screwdriver bit will want to cam out on them so you have to apply allot of pressure to keep that from happening. For removing the corrosion I just use sandpaper.

Thanks folks.... this weekend I'll try them & see what happens.
