Wel wife & I just wanted to get away.......somewhere we had never been & could both explore and relax.

Well little surfing on the net & walla.....Fall Creek Falls State Park.....3 hrs away:p

Got there & found a spot.....setup the camper.....turned AC on:D:D:D, ate lunch & proceeded to explore.

Went to the "big" falls first-BEUTIFULL, heck might as well hike to the bottom:hhmm:

Sat on a big rock at the bottom & let the waterfall mist on us while relaxing:grinpimp:

After that we hiked out & proceeded to take the scenic drive:hillbilly::hillbilly:

Pictures below......

All good....more to come.

Great place and great pics Clutchee!

I first went there in 1962... it was a State Park then. My Dad knew the head Ranger, Hubert Duck, and we stayed in his house. I still have a State Park patch. LOL

The only way to get to the bottom of the falls was holding on to steel cable and easing down the bowl. Going up was tough. I rode on Mr. Duck's shoulders.

The swinging bridges were there then too. They were particularly scary. The swimming hole ran a constant 62 degrees or some such number. Even in the hot summer, it was a cold pond.

Happy Trails! N
