We'd like to meet and wheel with you all!

We got a bit sidetracked with this weekend's trip and what was going on. If you are interested in Whipsaw it is a nice trip, there are 2 ways into it and it's easy enough to get out of there in case you have to leave earlier. If that does not work we can do some more local stuff like East Harrison trails.

In any event we will need something that is accessible by a non trail rated rental car, or need to bum a ride with someone. How far is Whipsaw from Vancouver?

4 to 4.5 hrs to lodestone lake. It is at the east end of the trail. It is only 20 min of gravel with a few minor rough spots to the lake. This is the back way. Some of us go to the lake, basecamp, and wheel from there.

Aug 2 & 3 are the August long weekend. We will be heading to the Wipsaw Trail that weekend.

As it turns out now I will be down in Seattle at this time filling in for a friend on a ropes course. I appreciate the offer but will be unable to attend.

Any other openings? we could do just a day trip somewhere close by.

We will be camping at Alouette from Monday until Friday or Saturday. The only possible opening would be Sunday 3 Aug. I will be off the grid until Fri or Sat, but will check back then.

Thanks for asking.

Regrettably most of us will be at Whipsaw (or that area) on Sunday. It is a shame, if anything does clear up for you let us know and we'll set something up.

I understand, and I will let you know if anything clears up. If not have fun in Whipsaw!
