i just got done putting on my new weber carb for a 22r, but had some questions that the instructions included with the carb did not answer. it says to hook the hose up to the vacuum advance port on the side of the carb. i found that (the little port, right?), but don't know where to connect it to in the engine. also, it just says to find other vacuum hoses and ports and plug them. now, i see a bunch of hard line hoses that go to the egr, and charcoal canister, and such. do i no longer need any of those? i tested to see if there was suction on them and none of them seemed to be sucking air. so yeah, i'm just a little confused. i did start my truck and it started right up and ran, so things can't be too bad right?

thanks for your help.

If wristy goes through all the trouble he had better post it up for all of us space monkeys to see!!!

:grinpimp:

wristy- thanks a lot man. that should help a ton.

You are welcome :D
You really should hook up your EGR. It is a very important aspect of engine perfomance, and will keep it alive longer.

Dont think that by eliminating it, you will gain power, because it wont happen

i will do that. i also think it is funny when people talk about doing things to get more power out of a 22r or re. they are 4 cylinders man, and do an awesome job at what they were designed for. however, lots of HP is not one of those things. haha.

should i have anymore questions, i will get in touch with you. thanks.
