Hi I am looking for input
I was just about to order a Diesel air cabin heater for my ride thinking camping ... but then ...

Diesel Water heater would do two good things at once ? Heat the engine and hopefully keep me and wife warm ?
If i would to run the rear heater fan on its own at (Hi) 1 amp draw (24v)
would the heat be sufficient to keep the cabin warm ?
thanks for your input

I have an espar and I use mine sometimes to keep the cabin warm with out the truck running
The rear heater will work for that but how cold are u talking about?
I use both heaters front and rear and my cabin is very warm
Just make sure u have real good batteries or a booster pack or u will be stranded

Not very cold -10 or so i am also worried about the altitude this water heater can operate at . I did no measure the electrical draw from the main blower but im guessing 2 to 4 amps (24v) this would cut down the time it could keep you warm . But setting up for the night i could heat up the cabin good , than close the heat on main heater core and run the rear blower all night to maintain ...
How long can did u or do you run it before the low voltage alarm shuts it down ? I have a bj74
With 2 batteries 150 (reserve capacity each ) te heater should eat 3 amp + 1 amp blower plus the times when it starts ad glow plug itself ... i dunno how to calculate that stuff ... Maybe u ran into this already experience and try and error at home would be best ...

Staying warm vs getting stranded ...
