Curious new product I saw in one of my feeds. It's advertised as a weather tent for protection against sun and hail. Wonder if it'd be a useful product for someone that is car camping? I'd imagine it would reduce peak temps in car pretty dramatically.

Looks liek there's a ton of various styles on Amazon.

With hail comes wind (since hail requires strong updrafts...repeatedly...to form ice big enough to to damage.

If hail fell in a perfectly vertical line...it might help somewhat. A little. If it don’t blow over and off your car first.

In other words... Looks like a pretty useless hassle to me. :)

Damaging hail is rare on a percentage of likelihood per vehicle. If I were you, I’d rather make sure I have insurance coverage for hail damage and call it done.

Was this introduced on April 1st? Looks like it could be the new anti snorkle, put underneath vehicle and ford the rivers and streams
