Water pump removal easy peezy not so easy started cracking all the bolts loose everything going good till that last and final bolt when the socket started rounding off the bolt shoulder, no problem out with the quick and easy - easyout bolt remover except the kit only has #4 and #6 but no #5 which is the one needed.
Now im hooped what do I do now....lightbulb a redneck idea pops into my head...... not the way I do things but at this point had no option , so out with the BFM- Big F___ing Mallet and the help of a chisel and this is the final result.
Thank god for soft aluminum casted parts.
The bolt in the pic is pointing at the position of the bolt that gave me the problem... no animals were hurt in this process.

Vice grips.

Would not work the water pump has a casted fin on the left next to that bolt and the other side the Tstat is raised which did not allow for the vice grips to get a bite I tried....any of the other bolts it would have worked just that one has no room for the wrath of the vice grip.
Do yah think they will give me my core charge back :hmm:.

That's what I have but the smaller kit which doesn't have the odd number sizes.
They are great for removing rounded bolts and even broken off bolts if there is enough bolt shank to bite onto.
