Washing the timing cover in a parts cleaner?

During my teardown cleaning up a bunch of parts, is it ok to throw the timing cover in the parts cleaner with the oil pump cover still on? Is the rear gear sealed up? Or should i open up and take out the oil pump assm?

If you pull the oil pump you will be fine. If you leave oil pump cover on you will have an oil pump full of solvent and compromise the gasket.

Thank you i will bull the pump. I also checked my deck for flatness. I am able to to get a .002 feeler just barely under the center section in the middle of the block, it has some drag so its very close, thinking about just running it. Has anyone experienced this little bit of warpage in the center of the block?
