Warn Winch m8274-50

I am contemplating buying this used winch from a guy. He originally wanted 750, since then i have talked him down to 650, soooo now i am close to pulling the trigger. The one down fall is there is no remote, after looking around looks like a new remote runs about a BILL , What do yall think?

50 bucks here at the winch store, go for it, if the winch is in good shape other wise, if you can dump a good load on it would be better, If you need to rebuild it think how much stuff you would learn, cheers, Larry

I think its a good price...and the only way to go on the FJ40 its the Warn 8274-50..better later if you change to synthetic rope..

I just bought a solonoid cover ,only the cover,85.00.The side thrust plate 140.00 both my cost.So there is 200 and change for nothing.Go from there.

Shoots! $650? I need you to find me deal like that! you could just make a controller using toggles and a handy box. Maybe $20.00 in parts?
