My 8272 will "click" sometimes when winding out but works great winding in. I have done the usual cleaning and tightening etc and found i have a solenoid or two on the way out. The easiest thing for me to do is replace the solenoids but i found this at :princess:auto

So my questions are
will this work,do you need only one,how easy to wire,do you toss out the old solenoids and mount this inside the black plastic solenoid cover???

I'm not sure how the 8274 is wired. But if its just a standard 2 wire DC motor you'd put 2 of the wires on that black thing, the other 2 big terminals go to the battery then just wire up a switch to the 3 little terminals...

winches are usually 3 wire, so you're close, but either way wouldn't be hard to wire.

I saw these things the other day too, just wasn't sure 100amp rating was high enough.

Certainly cheap tho.

might want to PM Too Tall remember a thread awhile ago discussing an alternative for getting rid of all four solenoids
