I got this winch from a coworker off of his 74 chevy. It is the old school 5687 not the 8274. Never the less there are a few write up in the technical links section on these winchs. Apparently they are a decent winch when refurbished. That was the plan I had for this unit but alas I have about a thousand other projects ahead of this one and it is just taking up space in my garage. It is the 8k version but I do not have any of the control cables for it and I have not even tested the motor. Parts are still available from a company in Minnesota, I believe.
