I am 6'2" with a 32" inseam. I have added the sheep skin and bean butt pad to try to heighten the seat plus offer some comfort. Plus add the peg lowering kit to decrease the amount of leg bend. I have poor knees from football and a few years of long distance running.

Yes the R1150R is better suited for the 6' or less rider. However each rider is different and that is a decision you need to make yourself. Shorter riders have trouble getting their feet on the ground when at a complete stop. Great bikes, you need to try a test ride.

I come across a young guy who had dropped his R1150 in the Victoria desert this time last year.
He came down a hill and hit a sandy patch in the road and lost control.
He had a windscreen like yours and had snapped it off, broke the lights, instrumention and handlebars.
I offered hm a lift back to town about 150 klm away but he opted to stay with his bike.
I rang the cops at the fruit fly inspectors office. They were not happy as its difficult getting trucks to go out there, but they said they would handle it from there.
I waved down a 105 series with a woman teacher driving it to an aboriginal mission who promised to pass on the news when she found him
Ive always been curious as to how long he was stuck there for.(he had water)
