The PO of my ride had put a fancy pants CD player in and did some butchering of the radio slot. This is what it looks like now. I assume that those tabs are supposed to be pushed back but I am unsure. Can any of you give me some insight? I have a AM radio to put in!

So those tabs that are sticking out on mine need to be pushed back so they are perpendicular to the face of the radio opening? THe AM radio I have is very similar to the one you have in the picture. So does it only power ONE speaker!? That could be a problem! My pig' tranny whines load as it "cruises" down the road. Actually it is noisy from the 2 HI- 4 Hi- 4low shifter!

The radio is held in place by those tabs. There are short bolts that goes through the holes and into the sides of the radio.

The radio has one speaker output. You can of course connect two speakers to it if you want to. Don't expect sheet metal vibrating volume, you won't get it (at least not without some kind of amp)!
