Hi all! This is a bit of a weird one but figured I would give it a shot. I'm considering getting an LX470 for my next rig for light overlanding. I am looking for someone to pay a few hundred bucks to who can take me for a ride in their (AHC removed) LX470.

I don't need to be the one driving, I just want to see the feel of the engine/suspension/interior. Kind of like a zero pressure test drive, since both of us know I won't be buying yours!

Happy to provide references, give you all my personal info, speak on the phone, etc just so you know I'm not a crazy person. I live in CT but make regular trips all around the north east; I'm coming from previous rigs of D90s and w463s.

Please send me a PM if this is something I might be able to talk you into! Thanks!

If you can find an early 100, the suspension will be the same as a Lexus sans the AHC. But considering the last 100 was built 19 years ago, they will likely have had the suspension swapped out for something aftermarket anyway. At least once.

If I were you, I would test drive a few local trucks with solid service histories. That should give you a good idea of whether it's for you.

There are some well-loved trucks in the classifieds here that are NOT from the Northeast, and a good place to shop if you decide you like them.

Good luck! They are great vehicles.

I've got no affiliation but saw this one posted for sale by me. California truck - in great condition being in northeast, practically rust free. Probably 30min from the Port Jeff ferry. I'm sure they'd be cool w/ a test drive.
