Hey guys, it looks like I am going to need to replace the bearings in my transfer case, and I thought that it would not only be quicker to swap transfer cases and rebuild mine at my leisure, but it would be nice to have an extra. If anyone out there has one they wouldn't mind getting rid of, let me know ASAP!

Thanks

You can get reasonably priced used Xfer cases from James at

www.cruiserparts.net

IIRC, ~$700 or so. Not bad considering a new one from Toyota is around $2900 or so.

That said, I think you would learn a lot about your rig if you have the time, tools, and space to take your own tcase out and rebuild it.

I'm doing that to mine to replace bearings, seals, etc. Have a friend help you bring it down.

I have a 93 T-case that I am trying to get rid of for 550 or so

I plan on rebuilding mine for sure, not only to learn about it, but I am also considering the part-time 4wd conversion. My issue right now is time...I need my truck for day-to-day driving. Plus, extra parts never hurt anyone.

P.S. Thanks for the info. Because of my time frame, I will probably be checking them out.
