Most folks probably couldn't care less but, for those who might be interested, I have set up a Facebook page to document the restoration of the '79 FJ40. It's about 150 pictures (3 albums) covering the entire process. You have to register as a Facebook user (facebook.com) to view the albums but that only takes about 1 minute. They ask for a name, email, birth date, and password and you're in. If you join the Jackson, MS network you should be able to see my page (search for Michael Plunkett) and view the albums. If you're a member of another network you can still search for me and select "add to friends list" or something like that. Next time I log on I'll accept the "friend" request and you'll be able to view the albums. Your kids will also think it's cool that you have a Facebook page and you can set up an album for your own cruiser.

CLC may want to consider encouraging members to join. We could set up a group for the club members. It's an easy way to post lots of pictures and each picture can have comments from the person that posts it and from viewers. You can post as many albums as you want with up to 60 pictures per album and it's all free. Just a thought.

No I didn't. The PO claimed to have rebuilt the motor after buying the truck with the motor in pieces. I guess he might have had the manifolds honed but I wouldn't count on it.
