This position takes a leadership role and is responsible for organizing the department’s technicians in maintaining, installing and repairing a wide variety of electronic communication equipment used in dispatch operations. Equipment includes but is not limited to RF voice in 150, 450 and 900 MHz bands as well as RD data in 800 and 900 MHz bands, personal computers, frame-relay networks, public network modems and handheld devices.

Job Requirements:
Successful candidates have the following qualifications:
- As Associate’s degree or equivalent experience with RF Voice and Data networks is required.
- Experience in a technical leadership role is highly preferred.
- Also, experience and thorough knowledge of operational systems related to call centers is desired.
- The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, an understanding of technical issues, as well as understanding business requirements. And inventory related decisions.
- The candidate will be able to work with minimum supervisions and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of programs.
- A good understanding of the RF propagation topography of Southern California is preferred.
- Some overnight travel is expected.
- A clean driving record is required.
