Anyone know about Relite material? I'm looking at a used Montana Canvas Blend wall tent in 14X17. The roof is 10 oz canvas, the endwalls and sides are Relite. They say Relite is as durable as canvas, but it's very thin and light comparitively. Any personal experiences with it? After seeing it in person today, I'm having a hard time believing Relite is as tough as canvas.

That's why I'm asking. It's a good deal. I've got him down to $950 for the tent and internal frame, which would go for $1600 new. Anyway, I'm gonna have to pass as I really don't believe in the Relite.

Weight was a factor for him, because he sets up his own camp and is an older gentleman.

My dad has a spike tent (kinda like a wall tent, look on the site) that is canvas top and realite or similar (it's about 10yrs old, so whatever they were using then) as the walls. It seems like a high quality fabric, but it's not as heat resistant or durable as canvas. It is much lighter which is why he got it. The tent and frame is like 80lbs.
