Further to Bill's chastizement about lack of participation I will start the ball rolling with an issue near and dear to my heart;

Back country clean-up.

I will volunteer for this position as I have a couple of trailers well suited to this purpose.

I am sure many others have noticed the lack of respect paid to the environment when it comes to dumping garbage all over the damn place up local logging roads. I think that this type of run can offer only good publicity for our club.

I request additional volunteers to participate for these runs for several reasons.

1. many hands make for easy work.

2. visibility of Coastal Cruisers doing the work.

3. several trucks to make such a venture a safe one.

4. knowledge of local back country roads and 'goldmines' of junk.

I also think that this type of activity is a terrific family afair that teaches only good values.

I'll help if there is one scheduled when I'm in town (July 2008).

Where's that, Charles? Mixco. :)

Hey, I'll be at the Cruiser Days this year! The beer bottles on the back roads at home bothers me too. I used to pick up the crap that I saw when ever I was stopped back home. I guess it's a mess since I haven't been off road much when I've been home lately :) .

I hope to get the award for the one who's travelled the furthest. Mixco is a suburb of Guatemala City in Guatemala, Central America (a cleanup here would be a never ending battle)! I may even be able to sport Guatemalan tags on the '60 for Cruiser Days!

Although my rig is now off the road until April, I volunteer to ride with someone else and help in the back country cleanups. Sometimes I can ride with Gary T if he has room too. It is great publicity for our club and also a contribution to the 4x4ABC efforts to show that some wheelers actually care.

I will be available pretty soon, when I get a rig to take me out there.

Any time you guys are going out on a clean up run we are willing to go provided I'm not working. Work constantly gets in the way of my life.

Kim, just post the dates and times of the runs when finalized.

Ya x2 I am not working now, I would love to help out with our club
