Visitor Message?

I can see that I have visitor messages, but when I click to read an error page pops up. I see the list of messages in my User CP, I am able to read PM's, but not VM's.

I click your username and see a whole bunch of visitor messages....right there on your public profile page.

I see the list of messages as well, in my User CP. When I click on my profile I get a blank white screen and the same blank screen when I click on the message in my user CP.

Try going to "who is online" then click on yourself

is that your profile?

if not, then I have to change your username....the '.' in there is no longer allowed for new users because those types of characters caused issues....

How do I change the user name?

you don't....admin change only...and 'John S' is taken by someone else...so pick something new
