Visiting from SC. MUD member needs ideas!

My wife and I been planning to drive the LX450 from Charlotte, NC to CO this summer but with gas prices and such we have decided to fly instead.

Looking for ideas and stuff to avoid. We will be here (DEN) July 26-3rd of AUG. We have a room in Estes Park the 30th-2nd and are going to see a concert at Red Rocks the 29th.

Not sure what we are doing the 27th-29th. Any ideas would help! Flying into Denver. Would like to get out and explore some. We do not have a room for the first park of the trip. Car camping could be an option but it will be out of a rental car.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

You could rent a car, drive west on 70 and get to the glennwood hot springs! Stay up in glenwood and do a guided fishing trip with Capitol Peak outfitters...970-948-1538.. his name is John. There are some great scenic areas he will take you 2. Beautiful drive as well! Red Rocks is a great place, you should love it!
