Clean it up. It likely is a lantern converted into a stove, or someone used a lanetern base to replace a stove base. You have a real old one there.

Hey. I recently found this Coleman camping stove in my garage. Not sure where it came from. It says "Sunshine of the night" and has the number 40.

Was wondering if its worth anything. Or should I just throw it out? Should I clean it up. Any advice, please.

never throw away HISTORY:D..........clean it up, and display it, cool old school stove.

Coleman rarely changes core designs that work for them, I'll bet a kerosene stover rebuild kit would get that Sunshine of the Night stove going with minimal effort.

Guy jumps out of an airplane, goes to pull his chute cord, and nothing happens. No problem. He goes to pull his reserve cord, and nothing happens. "s***!" he thinks. Suddenly, as he's plummeting closer and closer to the ground, he sees another guy, shooting skyward! As he passes by, he calls out, "Hey buddy, do you know anything about parachutes?!?!"
"Nope!", the guy answers, "Do you know anything about Coleman stoves?!?!"

Don't throw it out..clean it up and use it. Look on the bottom of it and there should be a number indicating what year it was made.

I've never found an old Coleman stove worth any money to get excited about. They can be found for $5, $10, maybe $40 if restored, but they are worth restoring, just because they'll outlast your time on earth!

Nothing works better than old school.
